Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Gloup. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Please read them carefully.

1. About Gloup

Gloup is a platform that connects customers with independent home service professionals offering services such as cleaning, beauty, wellness, and other in-home or on-location services. We provide the technology that enables bookings, communication, and payments. We are not the provider of the services themselves.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use Gloup. By using the platform, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to make bookings on behalf of yourself or others.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to other users.

4. Bookings and Payments

When you book a service through Gloup, you enter into a service agreement directly with the service professional. Gloup processes the payment on their behalf. Prices, deposits, and any service fees will be shown before you confirm the booking. Payments are charged at the time of booking unless stated otherwise.

5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Cancellation and rescheduling policies are set per service and shown at checkout. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges. If a professional cancels or fails to deliver the service, we will help arrange a replacement, reschedule, or refund where appropriate.

6. User Conduct

You agree to treat service professionals and other users with respect. You must not:

  1. book services with the intent to defraud or harass;
  2. request services that are illegal or unsafe;
  3. attempt to contract directly with professionals outside the platform to avoid fees;
  4. post false, misleading, or abusive reviews;
  5. misuse the platform, including attempts to disrupt, reverse engineer, or scrape it.

7. Service Professionals

Professionals listed on Gloup operate as independent providers. They are responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the services they deliver, including holding any required licences, insurance, and tax registrations. Gloup screens professionals where reasonably possible but does not guarantee the conduct or competence of any individual provider.

8. Reviews and Content

You may submit reviews, ratings, photos, and other content. By doing so, you grant Gloup a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the platform. You are responsible for content you submit, and it must not infringe third-party rights or contain unlawful material.

9. Intellectual Property

The Gloup name, logo, software, design, and content (other than user-submitted content) are owned by Gloup and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or use any of them without our written permission.

10. Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including booking details, payment information, and location data needed to deliver the service. By using Gloup, you consent to that processing.

11. Disclaimers

Gloup is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or any specific outcome from a booked service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gloup, its directors, employees, and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through Gloup in the three months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Gloup against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your activity poses a risk to the platform or its users. You may close your account at any time, subject to completion of any pending bookings and payments.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of Gloup after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
